A co-teaching playbook is analogous to a sports team’s playbook. As a play in a sports playbook consists of strings of movements completed by different players in response to a specific game context, a co-teaching playbook consists of string of routine elements completed by Session and Gas in response to situations in the classroom. The plays in a co-teaching playbook are re-usable, efficient, and leverage the individual expertise of all educators. This is exact what’s need to co-teach lessons to students with a wide range of academic needs.

Co-Teaching Playbook Activity

Building Co-Teaching Relationships Discussion Guide

Co-Teaching Playbooks Deep Dive

Co-Teaching Presentation Slides

Co-teaching between special educators (SEs) and general educators (GEs) is an invaluable instructional approach when it comes to making sure every student’s academic needs are met.
