?Crop-It is a digitized tool of the Crop-It routine on the Agile Teacher Lab. Crop-It helps learners look closely and carefully at a primary source or online image.
Teachers select cropping and thinking prompts to deepen student thinking around a learning goal. Students use evidence from their “crops” to build an interpretation or make a claim. They can save a pdf of their final crops and notes to compare perspectives with other students & send to their teacher.

| Steps for Students to Complete Digital Crop-It | |
| 1. Read the prompt that appears above the picture. Click the “Crop” button and respond to the prompt. |

| 2. Respond to the thinking prompt by typing your “Notes” into the text box. |

| 3. Click the “Save” button. |
|
| The next Crop-It prompt appears above the picture. Repeat steps 1-3. | |
| 4. Click the orange “Print!” button to download a pdf of your responses. |
|
| Students cannot print a pdf if they have not completed and saved each crop and prompt. | |
Once you complete all the Crops, the Print button will activate. When you click the "Print" button you will be asked to give your file a name. Once you type the name and hit enter, your completed Crop-It will be downloaded to your computer as a PDF under your chosen name.
