Post topics and chart paper around the room (one topic per paper). Ask students to go to a topic that interests them most, and write down knowledge, questions, or concerns about the topic. Students rotate to and repeat this process.
Brainstorm ideas and build on the ideas of peers. See how individual ideas fit in or challenge small group thinking. Learn from the work of peers.
Assess student knowledge, strategies, and/or vocabulary. Provide opportunities for students to work with peers.
